Impacts of clean and dirty R&D

A result from previous global studies is that the challenge of climate change suggests that R&D within carbon-intensive technologies must be brought to a halt, and all R&D resources transferred to innovation in clean technologies. We investigate whether, and if so under what conditions, this result may hold also in a model for a small, open economy where there is trade in energy, but domestic natural resources as inputs in energy production.
