Summary

The purpose in this paper is to study eventual differences between respondents and non-respondents in comparable national surveys of unemployed individuals in the Nordic countries. The survey data are supplemented with data from administrative registers making it possible to examine an eventual non-response bias using Swedish and Danish data. The Danish data set contains information also on some aspects of post-survey performance. The overall conclusion from the econometric analyses is reassuring in the sense that non-response biases seem to be small.
