Project description

The purpose of this project is to provide new and reliable evidence regarding the determinants of research, development, and entrepreneurship, as well as their causal impact on industry and worker dynamics. The empirical analyses are based on a new longitudinal dataset covering the period from 1995 to 2005, combining complete administrative registers of firms, individuals, and R&D activities in Norway. On the basis of our empirical findings, the projects aim at contributing actively to the development of relevant economic theory, particularly within the field of R&D and industry dynamics in relationship to frictional labor markets.
