Project description

Primary objective:
Develop an empirical framework for examining the tradeoff between labor market inclusion and labor productivity, and use this tool to identify the consequences for labor market inclusion of economic shocks, reorganization processes and technological trends.

Secondary objectives:
Develop a method for estimating the opportunity cost of used and unused labor resources in the economy. Develop a measure for value creation in which the opportunity cost of marginal labor is taken into account. Expand the research-based knowledge available for policy-makers seeking to balance the aims of labor market inclusion and labor productivity in a socially efficient way and to device efficient treatment for inclusion of marginal labor
