Project description

This project examines entrepreneurship and firm-formation in Norway, with particular emphasis on the gender gap. Our starting point is that entrepreneurship is important because the entrepreneurs play a vital role in forming our future economic environment. Successful entrepreneurs create jobs and wealth, which may gain not only themselves but also their prospective employees and the society as a whole. They also determine what kind of jobs that will be available to future workers. The project is empirical, and takes advantage of a comprehensive set of merged administrative data that we have developed over the past few years as part of project 6512.
