Renewables

Each model country has renewable resources that can be utilized for electricity production. The model covers hydropower, solar power and wind power. There are three types of hydropower; reservoir, run-of-river and pumped storage. Solar power is based on PV-technology, whereas the potential for  wind power is limited to onshore sites. 

In addition all model countries have access to waste power capacity equal to that in the base year. However, investment in new waste power capacity is not possible.
